He retired in\nJanuary 2017 as Head of Specialist Investigations and UK National Terrorist\nFinancial Investigation Unit (NTFIU) at UK Counter Terrorism Command, New\nScotland Yard. He had strategic and tactical oversight of all financial\ninvestigation and crime disruption investigations to identify, arrest and\ncharge or disrupt terrorist offenders and their criminal associates.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AREAS OF EXPERTISE &amp; EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For over 20 years, Andy has designed and delivered bespoke\ntraining and advisory services to a range of public sector and commercial\norganisations in the UK and overseas. The inputs primarily focus on the arenas\nof Financial Crime, Crisis and Risk Management and Intelligence-led\nInvestigations. He has developed, co-authored and delivered numerous webinars\nand several accredited or recognised courses. Whilst most of his work is\ndelivered \u2018in-house\u2019 or in an online environment; he does also advise a number\nof UK media companies on similar matters; to facilitate better public awareness\nof issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a previous role as Head of London Metropolitan Police Fraud\nSquad at New Scotland Yard, Andy was responsible for designing their current\noperating model to counter fraud and cyber-crime; and assisted in the\nimplementation of the new approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>EDUCATION &amp; QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andy joined the MPS in 1986\nfollowing his graduation from university with a BSc in Applied Chemistry. He\ncontinued his personal and professional development with a PG Dip in 1994 in\nPolicing from Portsmouth University and was awarded a Masters in Business\nAdministration (MBA) in November 2005 by Strathclyde University.
