Sam is a financial crime\nprevention professional with over 15 years of practical experience in\ncompliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EDUCATION\n&amp; QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sam holds a\nnumber of qualifications and is recognised as a subject matter expert in the\nfield of financial crime. Sam most recently worked with ACAMS Europe as its AML\nDirector and is a member of the Chapter in the UK. Sam is recognised by ACAMS\nas a subject matter expert in sanctions and has co-authored a number of online\ncertificate courses, facilitated working groups on 4\/5AMLD in Europe and\nassistance in the development of white papers. Originally from Montreal, Quebec\nCanada, Sam holds a Bachelors of Public Administration, Law Degree, qualified\nas a barrister and solicitor and holds her Masters in Business, specialising in\nrisk management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AREAS OF EXPERTISE &amp;\nEXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sam&#8217;s\nprevious work experience includes working as MLRO, Data Protection Officer and\nCCO and Group Head of AML for various financial institutions, both offshore and\nin Europe. Sam also worked offshore for several years as the first legal\ncounsel to the financial regulator in Guernsey and subsequently set up the\nfinancial crime division, overseeing the examination of a variety of financial\ninstitutions. She continues to maintain ongoing engagement with other\nregulators on financial crime matters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sam has extensive\ntraining experience in the field of financial crime prevention and corporate\ngovernance matters.
