The desk was mainly responsible for designing,\nstructuring and swapping vanilla and structured bond issues for European\nclients. He then moved to a coverage role, predominantly in the UK and Eire,\nwith responsibility for some of the more technically demanding clients,\nincluding the Bank of England and the European Investment Bank. He greatly\nexpanded the volume of deals done, including a government, major banks,\nbuilding societies and corporates. The role also involved working on UK\nprivatisations and with the bank and fund management arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michaels\nholds a degree in History and has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, from\nthe Dept of Education from Cambridge University. He is the author of a\ntextbook on credit derivatives (Credit Derivatives Workbook, Euromoney, 2004).\nHe is an Associate with Moody\u2019s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AREAS OF EXPERTISE &amp; EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael is\nan experienced financial trainer with a background in the financial markets,\noriginally in the Fixed Income and Derivatives space. Over the years he have\nextended his knowledge to include risk management and regulation. Michael\nspends a considerable amount of time keeping up to date on developments in\nfinance and the economy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has been delivering training across a wide spectrum of\nfinancial markets and in risk management and regulation since 1999, at up to\nsenior management level globally, his clients comprising mainly the top tier\ninvestment banks, fund managers and insurers.
