LONDON, United Kingdom \u2013 The London Governance and Compliance Academy (LGCA) is excited to announce that Complyport\u2019s Director of Financial Crime and Forensics, Martin Schofield, has joined its ranks to assist with content creation and the delivery of courses on financial crime prevention and associated topics.<\/p>\n

Martin, who has more than twenty years of experience in financial crime\nprevention, is highly regarded in the industry as a consultant, adviser, and\ntrainer on all-things financial crime prevention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has worked on both global and domestic projects for major financial\nservices firms, training staff from the front office to the board room on\ntopics such as fraud and money laundering prevention, sanctions, bribery, and\ndata protection to name but a few. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stavros Fatta, LGCA\u2019s Director, said: \u201cWe truly look forward to working\nwith Martin on the development and delivery of courses on anti-money\nlaundering, fraud, anti-bribery and corruption, market abuse, vulnerable clients,\nand a whole range of other important subjects. Besides his ample experience in a didactic role, Martin has also held\nthe title of Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for several large\nmultinational companies and acted as lead investigator in countless internal\nand external investigations, involving mortgage fraud, application fraud,\nidentity fraud and money laundering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about this partnership, Martin said: \u201cI am delighted and\nhonoured to have joined the ranks of the expert trainers at LGCA. I truly\nbelieve that undertaken appropriately and professionally, training is one of\nthe key controls any firm can employ to help mitigate their exposures and risks\nof financial crime. New and improved courses on topics pertaining to financial crime\nprevention are expected to be rolled out in early 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
