Compliance Academy<\/a> (LGCA) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agrc.org\">Association of Governance, Risk &amp; Compliance<\/a> (AGRC), is proud to launch the Estonian Anti-Money Laundering (AML) course <a href=\"https:\/\/amlcompliance.elearning.lgca.uk\/catalog\/info\/id:1270\"><em>Rahapesu ja terrorismi rahastamise vastase v\u00f5itluse alused Eestis<\/em><\/a>, one of the first courses of its kind in Estonian.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The course <a href=\"https:\/\/amlcompliance.elearning.lgca.uk\/catalog\/info\/id:1270\"><em>Rahapesu ja terrorismi rahastamise vastase v\u00f5itluse alused Eestis<\/em><\/a> aims to equip future AML Officers with the necessary knowledge to successfully perform the duties of an anti-money laundering specialist at an Estonian virtual asset service provider (VASP) or any other business where similar AML methods must be used.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the course will prepare the AML Officer to go through the interview process with the Estonia Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), which is a mandatory step before starting at the position.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The contents of the course are up to date and aligned with the Estonian Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Act, which came into force on March 15, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During the course, the AML Officer will learn the following, among others:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The main principles of preventing money laundering and terrorist financing<\/li>\n<li>The phases of money laundering and their recognition<\/li>\n<li>Risk assessment at both a national and company level<\/li>\n<li>The importance of internal anti-money laundering rules<\/li>\n<li>The importance of due diligence and KYC procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All of this, as previously mentioned, within the context of Estonian regulations pertaining to AML and counter terrorism financing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Upon the successful completion of the exam at the end of the course, each student will be provided a certificate proving that they have the necessary knowledge to carry out the duties of an AML Officer at an Estonian VASP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Along with the course, each student will receive a complimentary first year of membership to AGRC, which enables them to be a part of the global GRC community, connect with likeminded professionals, and benefit from a whole array of other benefits and perks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please click <a href=\"https:\/\/amlcompliance.elearning.lgca.uk\/catalog\/info\/id:1270\">HERE<\/a> to view the Estonian AML course in the Compliance Academy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>For more information, please reach out to Denis Sureyev, VP of Business Development, LGCA at <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:dsureyev@lgca.uk\"><strong>dsureyev@lgca.uk<\/strong><\/a><strong> or Kristjan Rappu, Head of Community, RCA, at <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:kristjan.rappu@incorporate.ee\"><strong>kristjan.rappu@incorporate.ee<\/strong><\/a><strong>. <\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Regulatory Compliance Associates (RCA), in collaboration with the London Governance &amp;
