2022 was a year for settling into our new reality, one where remote training, international online partnerships, and fully digital opportunities do a better job fulfilling professional and individual needs and preferences amidst a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic.<\/p>\n

As a result, most of our activities this year have focused on making it easier for our clients to undertake, monitor and complete their training in governance, risk and compliance, as well as gain professional qualifications and certificates from the comfort of their home, office or favourite caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n

This drive has been supported by our clients, who in a recent survey carried out by our team, mentioned that their preferred method of training involves an online presence. For instance, 70% of respondents remarked that live online or self-paced courses are better suited for them considering their time availability and other professional responsibilities.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In summary, during this tumultuous year, we worked with more than 250 companies in the financial services sector and trained more than 10,000 learners in a vast array of GRC-related topics. Plenty of professionals became certified via our training programmes, while organisations set up their own online trading academies or Learning Management Systems (LMS) with our platform, content, and customer support services.<\/p>\n

New International Partnerships Established<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n In 2022, we continued with many of the efforts started in the previous year, establishing strong and long-term relationships with several new global partners to bring our certificates and courses to professionals in their region.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our agreements with The Morgans Consortium<\/a> and RegTech Africa<\/a> in Nigeria, Taxativa<\/a> in Brazil, Leadership Institute for Administrators<\/a> in South Africa, \u00a0First Intuition Learning Solutions<\/a> in the UK, and YouTube\u2019s FinCrime Agent<\/a> will bring our training programmes for certifications offered by the Association of Governance, Risk and Compliance (AGRC), Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI), and other industry organisations to professionals in Africa, Asia, South America, and the rest of the world.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n These huge markets are in need of solid, reliable, and comprehensive GRC training opportunities, so it made perfect sense to partner up with established local training organisations to make LGCA\u2019s programmes available to the wider masses of African, Asian, and Latin American professionals.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Similarly, we have set up partnership deals with Now Training<\/a>, MPI Learning<\/a>, and Hemsley Fraser<\/a> in the UK to make available to their professional clients our extensive FCA compliance library. Ready access to these offerings will help their customers fulfil their training obligations and CPD requirements vis-\u00e0-vis the main UK financial regulator.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Here\u2019s hoping these new partnerships lead to the results we have already enjoyed via those we established in 2021. Our work with MEIT in Saudi Arabia and RCA in Estonia continues to grow with hundreds of Saudi and Estonian professionals becoming certified via one of our AGRC training programmes and contributing their knowledge, expertise, and professionalism to GRC\u2019s success in their regions.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Of note, LGCA is also in the initial stages of setting up a UK apprenticeship in governance, risk and compliance with a local organisation that specialises in the development, administration, and delivery of these schemes for the UK professional market. Discussions are well on their way, and we expect to have an apprenticeship programme ready to be rolled out in the latter stages of 2023.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lastly, as AGRC\u2019s official training partner, LGCA has been chosen to carry out the training programmes for the deal finalised between the Association and YouCap<\/a>. As part of this agreement, this UK-based company will liaise with its training centres across the globe to resell LGCA\u2019s training programmes for the six available AGRC certificates, stretching the reach of these useful and in-demand professional qualifications. Additionally, any student doing one of LGCA\u2019s training programmes for an AGRC Certificate will take their certification exam via YouCap\u2019s independent platform, further ensuring transparency, fairness, and reliability for candidates sitting their exams anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Keep in mind that many of these partnerships were cemented following LGCA\u2019s participation in Learning Technologies<\/a> and as a sponsor at Learning Live<\/a>, both unique industry conferences in London where we had a chance to learn all about what\u2019s trending in our sector and establish solid working relationships with potential and future partners.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Unique Courses & Products Revealed<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n We\u2019ve also been busy when it comes to developing new courses and services for our growing clientele.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In terms of AGRC, training programmes for the association\u2019s brand-new Level 3 Certificates in Corporate Governance<\/a>, ESG Principles and Standards<\/a>, and Sanctions Compliance<\/a> were released this past year, while preparations have begun for the release of a certificate in Risk Management for the first or second quarter of 2023.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Likewise, following the great demand for our FCA compliance courses, we have expanded our selection, adding courses on AML, KYC, CDD and suspicious transaction reporting. Some of these new titles include courses such as Assessing and Managing AML Risks, AML Risk Assessment, Building an AML Risk-Based Approach, Establishing and Maintaining a Strong CDD Programme, and The Value of Customer Due Diligence (CDD), among others. This calendar covered many trending FCA and global compliance subjects including Operational Resilience, Financial Promotions under COBS, AML in the Securities Market, SMCR, Solvency II and more. Most importantly, our workshop Your MLRO Training<\/em>, which was developed in conjunction with Complyport, a compliance consultancy in the UK, was hosted in early November to great success, gathering close to 20 professionals to learn everything they need to know to carry out their jobs as money laundering reporting officers in a responsible, efficient, and timely manner.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Expect to see plenty more of this in 2023, starting off with a live online version of Your MLRO Training<\/em> on January 18. Based on these results, we will strengthen our AML, CFT and Compliance course offering, peppering it with courses on risk management, accounting, Regtech, consumer duty, cybersecurity, ESG and finance, all subjects of interest to those who participated.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Furthermore, following a host of requests to pay for our programmes via instalments, we penned an agreement with Knoma<\/a>, a platform that allows students to receive loans to cover for their educational programmes and pay on a monthly basis. A selection of LGCA\u2019s training programmes can be covered via Knoma, but please keep in mind that this option is only available to students who are fulltime UK residents.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Last but not least, we launched two additional products that will help cover our clients\u2019 training needs, whether in specialised GRC topics or the more general everyday skills required from professionals these days to operate effectively at work.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our Build-a-Course<\/a> service allows interested teams to request a price quote for a niche course tailored to their specific needs and requirements.
