The EU has recently adopted a series of regulations relating to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements.  Sustainable Finance is among the core objectives of this initiative.  This programme will provide an overview of the various ESG initiatives and focus on the Sustainability Related Disclosures for the Financial Services Sector (SFRD).

The programme is designed to deliver knowledge and enhance participants’ understanding of Sustainability Related Disclosures (SFDR_ through detailed explanation of Environmental, Social and Governance factors that fund managers, investment funds, asset managers and investment advisors should consider when analysing investments, selecting investments, and managing portfolios.  The training will allow participants to engage in discussion and raise questions that relate to their own operations.  Participants will be presented with various examples and case studies that will enhance their understanding of the applicability of these new regulatory requirements.

Who is Demetris Nicolaou?

Demetris Nicolaou is an Executive Director and Head of Portfolio Management at Hanseatic Capital Management Ltd. He previously worked for Alpha Bank Limited as the Head of Asset Management and as the Co-Portfolio Manager for Emerging Markets Management LLC in the USA. Demetris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Economics and an MBA in International Finance, both from the American University Kogod School of Business. He is a CFA Charterholder and a holder of the Certificate in Company Direction by the U.K. Institute of Directors.
