Monica Ioannidou Polemitis

INTRODUCTION

Monica is the CEO of MAP Innovation, a consulting firm which was launched in 2019, providing a range of services along the spectrum of new technology adoption and development, to innovation suppliers (startups) and innovation seekers (corporates and the public sector). Monica is highly experienced in delivering workshops and training to C-level executives on technological trends, thus helping them navigate through change in an ever-changing global environment.

EDUCATION:

Monica holds a Bachelors’ degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Essex and a Masters’ degree in International and European Politics from the University of Edinburgh.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

Monica has more than 15 years of experience in financial and strategic advisory with a focus on corporate innovation, venture building and startups. Up until 2019, she was a Director in the Financial Advisory of a Big 4 and a Director of the same firm’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre. She has coached and mentored a large number of startups from all over the world either independently or as a partner in accelerators and incubators in Europe and the UK. She is a Board member of selected startups as an Advisor and an affiliate member of the European Business Angels Network. Her areas of expertise include defining vision and strategy, financial planning, investor relations and business planning, ensuring  roadmaps in place for delivering and measuring actual business benefit realisation.
