You might be thinking, why is inclusion and diversity relevant to my role? Inclusion impacts every person and every area of our workforce strategy. Inclusion provides the backdrop to innovative growth.

We need to be mindful about how compliance frameworks are implemented into workforce strategy. This impacts the cultural psychological safety we create.

Building healthy dynamics starts with knowing your team – understanding the preferences, needs, and motivations of individuals helps us maximise strengths, receive and respond to feedback, efficiently and effectively, and open a vulnerability that allows us to readily see mistakes as opportunities to learn.

But how is this achieved? Find out in our Inclusion and Diversity Workshop!

In this workshop we will:

• Explore methods to eliminate bias and avoid echo chambers that can limit thinking
• Learn about hollistic strategies to discover and engage with a new and diverse client base
• Maximise the strengths of your workforce by understanding the value of their differences
• Adopt inclusive frameworks to support your workforce to thrive

Definitions and Concepts

In this introductory module we will explore commonly used vocabulary and phrases. We will explore bias, how it forms, and ways to reduce and mitigate its impact on our behaviour in the workplace.

We will begin to explore intersectionality and reflect on our personal multidimensional cultural identity and how it shapes our perspective on the world. We will learn to seize opportunities to mitigate bias, leading to improved decision-making, better communication, and effective engagement. This module will lay out the terminology and approach to enable self-reflection and understanding of cultural development which we will build on throughout the rest of the course.

We will discuss strategies to equip our workforces to challenge leadership, promoting interpersonal risk and psychological safety.

Inclusive Culture and Leadership

We will explore the impact of leadership behaviour on your team dynamics and client relationships. In this module we will learn and begin to develop leadership behaviours that instil psychological safety. We will explore and effectively contextualise and learn how to apply simple processes to challenge the status quo and establish the trust and agreeable disagreement needed to truly innovate.

We will discover tools, techniques, and frameworks to support a consistent yet flexible and fair strategic approach to feedback systems to generate equitable opportunities for all to thrive.
