Description

The London Governance & Compliance Academy (LGCA) is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to be based in its London, UK offices.
LGCA is a learning provider specialising in the areas of governance, risk and compliance and a member of The European Institute of Management and Finance Group, one of Europe’s leading providers for certified and executive education, eLearning and bespoke learning solutions in the financial sector.

The customer sales executive will be part of a team who build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering support and guidance throughout their students’ journeys.

Responsibilities

Leading your team

  • Establish and develop a strong, focused and effective team
  • Drive a programme of development for employees within Client Services
  • Ensure the Client Services team understand and are engaged with individual, function and business goals
  • Communicate product changes/updates for clients, ensuring the team have a good understanding ● Ensure product knowledge is kept up to date within the team, creating and updating any materials as necessary
  • Ensuring all cyclical HR activities are completed including goal setting and performance and development processes
  • Participate in HR activities, including the recruitment process, as required.
  • Ensure all day-to-day people management processes take place, according to company policies
  • Promote and embody LGCA as a Great Place to work
  • Drive and champion national initiatives such as Building a Brighter Future

Relationship management

  • Build effective working relationships and trust with key people in client organisations
  • Identify the key needs and ways of working of LGCA’s clients
  • Manage and control the flow of communication between the Client, Client Service Officers & other LGCA functions
  • Communicate account requirements nationally to ensure all LGCA functions meet the agreed service levels
  • Ensure the team are fully responsive to client needs
  • Regularly meet with clients to review service delivery performance and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Collate and share feedback from clients to reinforce positives and drive improvements
  • Support Client Solutions to renegotiate fees and service level agreements where possible
  • Liaise with the Client Solution Managers for cross selling / new business opportunities

Course delivery

  • Ensure that client expectations are met through the effective project management of the national delivery of courses
  • Ensure clients and their students are sent course information on a timely basis
  • Ensure that students gain access to online study material at the appropriate time
  • Provide all necessary information to Resource Management on time e.g. student volumes and locations, material collection arrangements

Service delivery

  • Prioritise activities across all accounts to ensure smooth delivery
  • Ensure MI reports are generated and analysed to review performance and quality of service delivery
  • Drive service and delivery improvements to ensure LGCA achieves its KPIs
  • Ensure Client Services systems and processes are kept up to date to enable the operational teams to be effective
  • Identify opportunities to streamline our processes when liaising with clients and the operational functions
  • Identify service delivery procedural failures and work with the Client, Client Service Officers and the operational functions to resolve and apply lessons learnt
  • Effectively resolve complaints and prevent reoccurrence of similar issues
  • Sponsor change to enable LGCA to exceed clients’ needs in future
Qualifications
  • Thrive on Targets and comfortable being measured on these
  • Experience of dealing with high call volumes
  • Self-motivated with an ability to deliver on sales
  • IT literate and competent with databases and spreadsheets
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience of working within strict KPIs
  • Attentive to detail and dedicated to quality
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
