Recapping a Great Year for LGCA

2021 was LGCA’s first complete year of business, and what a year it was!

Our team of intrepid educators had its hands full for most of the year, operating with loads of conviction and purpose to surpass many of the lofty goals it had set at the end of 2020.

Besides navigating through a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic with plenty of panache, LGCA had many accomplishments that we would like to highlight to kick off the new year.

And here’s hoping 2022 is a repeat of 2021, at least not in terms of viruses, lockdowns, and worries.

LGCA Branched Out to Saudi Arabia, Estonia & Beyond

In 2021, our organization cemented several strategic partnerships with organizations in Saudi Arabia, Estonia, and the Dominican Republic.

In collaboration with Money Experts Institute for Training and the International Governance & Compliance Association (AGRC), our International Certified Corporate Governance Officer (ICCGO) and Financial Crime Prevention Specialist (FCPS) programmes took off in Riyadh, certifying an important number of professionals and government officials in a wide array of industries.

Both of these programmes have been proven to be highly successful in the country, and LGCA is looking forward to welcoming its new cohort of graduates in 2022. Part of the plan with MEIT is to branch out into neighbouring GCC countries, so stay tuned for an LGCA programme coming near you soon.

Likewise, LGCA established a strategic partnership with Regulatory Compliance Associates, an Estonian company offering practical compliance solutions to firms operating in one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world.

As part of this agreement, Estonian professionals in the fintech, compliance and financial services sectors have had access to the global certifications in AML, KYC, CDD, Compliance, and International Economic Sanctions offered by AGRC.

Last but not least, LGCA penned a deal with Etikamente, a consulting firm focusing on governance, compliance, and ethics in the Dominican Republic. While this initiative has been slow to take off, LGCA looks to ramp up activity in Central America via this agreement and bring all of our educational solutions to the region.

Coming up in 2022: Brazil and South Africa, so keep your eyes peeled for these launches!

LGCA Ramped Up Its Role as AGRC’s Official Training Partner

LGCA’s role as AGRC’s main official training partner has now been set in stone with the future looking bright for both organisations.

Besides the aforementioned programmes in Saudi Arabia, LGCA has spread its wings offering AGRC’s certificates in AML, Compliance, KYC and CDD, and Sanctions Compliance to individuals and organisations in all corners of the world.

From Costa Rica all the way to India and the Seychelles with stops in countless European countries, LGCA’s training of students looking to pass AGRC’s certification exams has truly attained global levels.

2022 will see plenty of more of this, specially as AGRC rolls out certificates in ESG, Corporate Governance, and Risk Management, as well as shorter Fundamental Courses in risk-based approach to AML, anti-bribery and corruption, KYC and CDD, international economic sanctions, corporate governance, and the regulatory framework for the financial services sector.

LGCA’s Numbers for 2021 Speak for Themselves

Thanks to our new partnerships and work with AGRC, as well as our direct marketing efforts in the UK and the rest of Europe, the number of clients serviced and professionals trained has been nothing but remarkable.

In 2021 alone, we worked with more than 200 regulated entities in the financial services sector and trained more than 10,000 individuals in a vast array of GRC-related topics.

More and more professionals are looking to expand their knowledge base and become certified in subjects that are directly relevant to their professions or career aspirations.

At the same time, firms are on the lookout for training solutions that will boost their workforce’s performance and fulfil all of their regulatory compliance obligations before the pertinent authorities.

Plus, in this rapidly digitalizing world, it has never been easier to acquire the skills, tools, and knowledge to advance your career as self-paced or live online courses are readily available on any subject imaginable. Throw in the big C-19 and you’ve got everything lined up to see online education’s surge continue unabetted.

Stavros Fatta, LGCA’s CEO, says: “2021 has shown that companies and professionals in the GRC world are eager for training and educational solutions that will allow them to further their businesses and careers, while cutting costs, travel time, and unnecessary health and safety risks. LGCA has done a fantastic job this year catering to these diverse needs and interests, developing a myriad of self-paced online courses and hosting live online sessions for our clientele. We look forward to lots more in this new year.”
